Ed Ward

Ed Ward has been writing about music for over 40 years, starting at Crawdaddy! magazine in 1967. His work has appeared in countless magazines and newspapers around the world, including The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and he is co-author of “Rock of Ages: The Rolling Stone History of Rock & Roll.” Ward has been Rock Historian for NPR’s “Fresh Air with Terry Gross” since the show’s inception. After living in San Francisco, Austin, and Berlin, he now resides in Montpellier, France.
