Jason Epstein

Jason Epstein is former editorial director of Random House and the first recipient of the National Book Award for Distinguished Service to American Letters.  He has edited many well-known writers, including Norman Mailer, Vladimir Nabokov, E.L. Doctorow, Philip Roth, and Gore Vidal. He also edited McGeorge Bundy’s “Danger and Survival: Choices About the Bomb in the First Fifty Years” and Robert Scheer’s “With Enough Shovels: Reagan, Bush and Nuclear War.” Recently, he has authored the memoir “Eating” (2010).
